Reverend Airwave 12-String Citradelic Sunset
Love the 12-string sound, but hate fighting intonation and string changing? The Reverend Airwave offers great 12-string tone and gets rid of the headaches.
The Airwave’s unique bridge/tailpiece design uses both through-body and bridge-mounting to hold all 12 strings in place, and 12 individual, tunable saddles allow for accurate intonation on each string. 6-per-side locking tuners make string changing easy and straightforward—very different from the wrestling act with other popular models.
A semi-hollow korina body and solid spruce topkeep the guitar’s weight down and enhance its resonance, while a pair of C-90 single-coil pickups move easily from clean and bright to edgy. Combined with Reverend’s proprietary Bass Contour knob, the passive low-end rolloff control lets you keep your tone articulate in any position.
The 5-piece korina/walnut neck is strong but lightweight, and the 24 3/4” scale helps reduce string tension. The 1 3/4” nut width allows for easy chording and single-note playing—with either flat pick or finger-style; and the graphite nut keeps strings from hanging up, to further improve intonation.
