Description Product Reviews Features Make music, not war. Here we have a bit of peace, love and understanding from a bygone era. Decorated with a pattern we don't see much from relic guitar makers, this brings us back to yesterday, but it was the Saturday after the last one....
Our lady Mariel offers a smooth, paisley punch, boasting tone from her sugar pine body. While she’s reliced, the beauty marks are in all the right places and tastefully done, giving our fancily - named female friend authenticity other guitar builders simply cannot match.
The neck’s smooth oval shape feels like a baby’s skin to the touch, spoiling your hand while picking your old-time favorites on the expertly exhausted rosewood fingerboard. What’s great about this guitar is the medium profile that isn’t too big or small, making any sized hand happy.
The aged hardware plays the part while also functioning like new. This is important as some builders who relic their instruments will go too far causing the metal to rust and seize up, making tuning difficult and breaking strings a common occurrence. LSL’s very own custom-wound pickups sound silky and soulful, and the CTS pots and Orange Drop capacitors ensure twenty-four-carat tone for the long-haul.
I was going to open my description with "Hey Baby!", but Mr. Burton's famously documented guitar during Elvis' Hawaian concert was pink. Despite her feminine name, Mariel will satisfy the most masculine of players.
